Audi rolls out 10m units of the A4 and 80 models image

The German based automaker Audi managed to reach the 10 million landmark with the 80 and A4 models made throughout time, since 1972 and 2011, after the company was one of the most active in the industry and in the midsize segment.

According to the carmaker, no less than 10 million units of the A4 and its predecessor, the 80, have been made in 39 years, which is the perfect example that Audi has known what success is these last decades.

“Ten million midsize vehicles is an achievement which makes us thrilled and proud. Thanks to its sophisticated technology and excellent quality, the Audi A4 is our bestseller – winning over customers in every market since it was launched. With our strong team and our effective Audi production system, we will continue writing this success story, especially as a modified version of the Audi A4 will soon be launched”, said the board member for production at Audi AG, Frank Dreves, probably before the company launched the facelifted versions of the A4, S4 and Allroad.

The ten millionth vehicle to roll off the production line was a Misano Red S4, powered by a V6 engine which is developing 333 HP, and with a black and alabaster-white interior, made at the Neckarsulm plant in Germany, which is the second Audi factory in the country.
