Sheryl Crow’s 1959 190SL Mercedes given for charity image

Rock and country singer Sheryl Crow has decided to help the Joplin tornado victims by donating her 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190SL, which will be sold on an auction.

Sheryl Crow was so moved by the story of rebuilding the Joplin city because it was close to where she lived and auctioning her 190SL Mercedes to donate all the money seems a noble gesture.

“After the tornado in Joplin I was so moved to help rebuild a city so close to where I grew up in Missouri. My hope is that the auction of my 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190SL roadster will bring in funds to help rebuild the schools in the area”, said the singer.

The 1959 Mercedes features a white matching hardtop which can be replaced with a black soft top and its restoration was completed in 2005.

The auction is scheduled for the 21st of August this year and the Mercedes-Benz 190SL will be sold somewhere between 50.000 and 80.000 US dollars.
