$1.2m Rolls-Royce Phantom Dragon Edition sold out in China image

The British based luxury car manufacturer Rolls-Royce has recently announced that the Phantom Year of the Dragon Edition, worth 1.2 million USD, has been sold out in China.

After announcing best ever sales in its 107 years of history, Rolls-Royce has probably beaten another record after the company has announced that the Phantom Year of the Dragon has been completely sold out in China. The best part about it is that each unit of the luxurious vehicle is worth 1.2 million USD. China has become Rolls-Royce’s biggest market in 2011 and its models are selling quickly in the Asian country, the best example being this special Dragon edition, which was sold out in just two months.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Year of the Dragon’s painting has been inspired by the Forbidden City and it comes with gold inserts, plush leather and hand-crafted details, which are very expensive. The new creation of the BMW sub-brand was actually a special package for the RR Phantom and it was aimed at the growing Chinese market. The Phantom has been launched back in 2003 and the full-size luxury car is powered by a 6.75 liter V12 engine which is developing a total output of 453 horsepower, mated to a ZF six-speed automatic transmission.
