The most recent model of the classic supercar has recently been sold for 24.3 million euros, a new record, bringing its former owner a net profit of 5.4 million euros, after he bought the ride back in 2008, so there you have it, invest in cars not in gold and your money will be safe.
The Ferrari 250 GTO has been manufactured in just 39 units, between 1962 and 1964, and this 1963 model was wearing the 5095 identity tag. The supercar was being sold, back when it was new, for the equivalent of 7.000 euros and it was available in a single body style. The Ferrari 250 GTO was being powered by a 3.0 liter V12 engine, the same one used in the 250 Testa Rossa, putting down 300 horsepower through a five-speed manual transmission designed by Porsche. The supercar’s value rose rapidly from the late 1970s to the late 1980s and a similar model was sold back in 1987 for approximately 1.6 million USD.
