We always said here on InAutoNews.com that passion has no limits when talking about cars and the latest example to come in support for our statement is a 1975 Ferrari 308 GTB replica based on a 1974 Toyota TA22 Celica body that ended up on the internet for sale.
According to its owner and builder, the replica of the 1975 Ferrari 308 GTB is powered by an eight-cylinder 3.0 liter engine, mated to a five-speed manual transmission which is sending power to the rear wheels, and the vehicle can be bought for $6.000.
“This is one of the first and original ferrinos. Not many around. It was built in Queensland and the body was supplied from Adelaide by creative body’s. I have all the paper work on the build and photos. Anything in the papers or magazines on the ferrino is also in the folder”, as its owner says on the site where he is trying to sell its replica.
The owner of the 1975 Ferrari 308 GTB replica says that the vehicle that has made 200.000 kilometers is for sale because he needs “something more practical” and besides this he already has another project car to work on.
Passion or kitsch? You decide that!
