It’s official – today at Goodwood Festival of Speed Alpina unveiled the B5 Biturbo.

The gorgeous car is powered by a tuned version of BMW’s 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, with the unit delivering 500 hp and a maximum torque of 516 lb-ft.

All this power reaches the wheels via an eight-speed Sport Automatic ZF 8HP70 gearbox. 0-100km/h (62mph) is dealt with in 4.7 seconds with the top speed reaching an impressive 307km/h (191mph).
The B5 is also treated to different bumpers and quad-exhaust ends, two at each end. You can also notice Alpina’s very recognizable multi-spoke 20 inch Alpina CLassic rims with Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tyres in sizes 8.5×20 225/35 ZR20 at the front and 9×20 285/30 ZR20 at the rear. There are also Alpina badging on the inside with Alpina-styled dials on the instrument panel.


Inside there is new upholstery and a new set of Alpina bading together with Alpina side sills.
Alpina claims the B5 offers class-leading fuel economy and CO2 emissions, at 26.1mpg (combined) and 252g/km respectively.


No pricing for the car has been announced, but UK buyers should expect to pay around £70,000 for the car. The first deliveries are expected in the autumn.
