Every year the LA Auto Show kicks off with two press days full of activity for journalists, designers and industry representatives alike.

The 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show will be held from November 19 through November 28, 2010, with press days on November 17 and 18. The Sneak Preview Night will be held on November 18, 2010.


LA Auto Show World Debuts

Acura TSX Sedan
Acura has gone with minor updates to the new 2011 TSX. In the front, the sedan has a revised grille and foglamp surrounds, similar to what you’ll see on the TSX wagon. 2011 TSX sedan will be priced at $30,470 when it goes on sale next week. Across the board, prices have increased $300.

Cadillac Concept
Cadillac has just unwrapped its ultra-cool new Urban Luxury concept at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The concept was developed on a unique front-wheel drive platform that is not offered by GM today.
Cadillac said engineers developed a concept hybrid propulsion system for the Urban Luxury Concept that includes a turbocharged 1-liter, three-cylinder engine

Chevrolet Camaro Convertible
The convertible Camaro is “officially” revealed, following three long years of only a concept version and teaser photos. The convertible is very similar to the hard-headed coupe. The standard engine will be a 312-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine, while the SS model will come equipped with the 6.2-liter V-8 worth 426 ponies.

Chrysler 200 Sedan
The Chrysler 200 is lowered by 12 mm in the front and 6 mm in the rear. It has been outfitted with an enhanced powertrain lineup and comes with 2.4-liter World Gas Engine that is mated to a new six-speed transmission. The 2.4-liter I-4 engine generates 173 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque. The starting U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) is:

Chrysler 200 LX: $19,995 (including $750 destination)
Chrysler 200 Touring: $21,995 (including $750 destination)
Chrysler 200 Limited: $24,495 (including $750 destination)

Honda Fit Electric Concept

KIA Optima Hybrid
Kia will officially unveil the Optima Hybrid on the left coast, giving Hyundai’s smaller sibling an entry in the battery-assisted market. The Optima Hybrid is sure to be powered by the very same 169-horsepower 2.4-liter Theta II engine mated to a 30 kW electric motor that thriftily motivates the Sonata Hybrid.

Mazda Shinari Concept
The Shinari concept, which roughly translates to “resistance to being bent,” will serve as a the basis for Mazda’s new design language. The Mazda Shinari is a pure design concept model of a four-door, four-seater sports coupe which perfectly expresses the ‘KODO – Soul of Motion’ design theme in a graceful and carefree form.

Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG
The CLS63 AMG has finally been released at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The new AMG will certainly pack a punch with that 5.5-liter V8 with it twin-turbochargers. However, some of you might miss that 6.2-liter V8 from the current model. Performance figures are much better than its predecessor though with a 0 to 60 time of just 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 155mph

Mitsubishi i-MiEV
The 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV went on sale in Japan in July of 2009, but Mitsubishi’s new electric mini-car won’t be available to Americans until the end of 2011
The U.S.-spec i-MiEV is 11.2 inches longer, 4.3 inches wider and 0.2 inches taller than the JDM version.

Nissan Ellure Concept
Nissan says the Ellure concept is its “new-value sedan exploration.” It said the concept is designed to add “passion and emotion to traditional sedan efficiency.” More info to come …

Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet Concept
Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet loses two doors with the original model. There will also be a passenger less compared to the Nissan Murano, as 4 people can fit in version cabriolet.
Expect the 2011 Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet in dealerships in early 2011.

Range Rover Evoque
Land Rover has officially announced the arrival of its smallest model, the Evoque. The Evoque is as close an interpretation of the LRX concept possible, and is the lightest and most efficient Rangie ever. The base engine is a 148bhp, 2.2-litre diesel which returns 58mpg and creeps under 130g/km of CO2 (in the front-wheel-drive model), while a 2.0-litre, 238bhp petrol engine offers up a 0-60mph time of 7.1 seconds.

SAAB 9-4X crossover
Based on the same General Motors Theta Premium architecture as the Cadillac SRX, the 9-4X was entirely designed while the Detroit automaker controlled the Swedish brand. he 9-4X will be Saab’s first crossover, although GM rebadged a Chevrolet TrailBlazer as a Saab 9-7x several years ago.

Subaru Impreza Concept
Subaru has announced a new concept car will be revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month.. The new concept will be the first to embody Subaru’s new brand philosophy called “Confidence in Motion”. With that said, this new concept very-well could be borrowing some of Toyota’s new hybrid or battery technology.

Toyota RAV4 EV Concept
Toyota will unveil the RAV4 EV Concept, a new electric vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show next week. The concept marks further progress towards RAV4 EV being brought to market in the USA in 2012.
Toyota RAV4 EV concept has been developed by the Asian car maker in collaboration with Tesla Motors. In fact, the electric Toyota RAV4 EV concept has the body of the SUV and the same powertrain as the Tesla.
