Here are the latest spy photos with the upcoming BMW M5 F10. These photos were taken near the Nurburgring track
Most probably the new BMW M5 will make its debut at the end of the year, and will go on sales early in 2011. 2011 M5 will be equoped most probably with the new BMW’s 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8, already introduced in the X5 M and X6 M.
The 4.4 liter comes configured to 578 hp and with some other great numbers too – improving the 0 to 100 km/h sprint by 0.3 seconds over the current M5, increasing torque by 40 percent and dialing down fuel consumption by about 30 percent.
The engine is connected to an uprated version of the current M3’s DCT seven-speed twin clutch gearbox which feeds power to the rear wheels. The M5 gets an electronically-controlled limited slip diff, and Dynamic Performance Control, which sends extra power to the outer wheel when cornering to reduce understeer.
