Today, Maybach, the luxurious brand of Daimler, presents the 2011 Maybach Facelift.
The new exterior has a new chrome radiator grille, the trim on the front bumper with daytime driving lights featuring LED technology, high-quality, dark red tail lights and a new, exclusively developed paint and stylish wheels. The new limousines are also about a half inch longer and wider thanks to the new bumper designs and side cladding.
You should know that the Maybach 57S and 62S come with a 12 cylinder engine which can develop up to 457h. The Maybach 57 and 62 comes with a 6.0 liter V12 engine which can develop up to 542hp. Also, the CO2 emissions have been lowered for both vehicles. Also on show in Beijing are the latest 57S and 62S models, both of which develop an additional 18 horsepower over the standard models.
Last year, Maybach sold only 200 units. It is for this reason that rumors have repeatedly surfaced that the Maybach brand is up for sale. Most recently, Chinese automaker BYD was alleged to have made a bid to purchase Maybach, although this was denied by a Daimler spokesperson.
