Bentley unveiled today the first video showing the 2012 Bentley Continental GT.
The new 2012 Bentley Continental GT will be revealed to the public at the Paris motor show this year with the familiar W12 power. The V8 2012 Continental GT hits the market as a ’12 model in about 18 months.
The new Bentley 2012 Continental GT bears a close resemblance to its predecessor, but features interior and exterior refinements, redesigned headlamps and an updated touch-screen navigation and entertainment system.
Power from the W12 engine is increased from 560 hp to 575 hp and torque is up from 479 lb-ft to 516 lb-ft, partly thanks to increased turbo-boost pressure. The transmission found on the 2012 Bentley Continental GT is a six-speed automatic with quick-shifting program.
According to the international press, initially dubbed the Baby Bentley, the $180,000-plus Continental GT rolled out seven years ago was one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful luxury cars developed during the past decade.
A convertible model of 2012 Bentley Continental GT should make an appearance in 2013, followed by Speed versions by 2015.
