General Motors has unveiled the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Special Edition to celebrate the premiere of the third installment of the sci-fi francise, Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
Styled like the film’s Autobot hero, Bumblebee, the limited edition Transformers Camaro Coupe will be available in the US, Canada, China, Europe, Japan, South America and the Middle East.
The Transformers Camaro has special kit like Autobot badges on the guards, thick black stripes running along the roof and bonnet, a unique rear spoiler and blacked-out 20-inch alloys with Autobot-logo center caps.
Open the door and you will be witness to the Transformers Camaro black leather interior accented with, you guessed it, yellow stitching on the instrument panel, center console, armrests and seats.
The special edition is only available on top of the line 2012 2LT six-cylinder and 2SS eight-cylinder versions of the Camaro, and its $3,000 price includes the RS appearance package, which currently costs $1,600 as a standalone package on V6 models, $1,300 on V8s.
Chevrolet will begin accepting pre-orders in July and deliveries are scheduled for September.
