With a 560 horsepower twin-turbo V8 lurking under its hood, the 2012 BMW M5 is one of the all-best sedans in the world. The M5 sprints to 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds, or 124 mph in a mere 13 seconds flat. Its top speed is limited to 155 mph, although an available Driver’s Package will push that up to 190 mph. We’ve test it and it’s great.
Considerably lighter than the X5M, the new M5 is still a big beast, tipping the scales at 1870kg.
Standard equipment will include the electric glass roof, active or multifunction seats, iDrive control system with an up to 10.2-inch Control Display, electronic dampers, six-pot calipers all round, mounted within the 19-inch alloys, bi-xenon light with a 10 LED clusters for the turn indicators, LED light rings around the headlamp, head-up display, front and rear Park Distance Control, DAB digital radio and Bluetooth with USB integration.
