The Italian based automaker Fiat has just launched the 2012 Punto model in Europe, and even if this isn’t a new generation or the vehicle doesn’t come with significant changes, it’s still important in the company’s battle for the segment.
The 2012 Fiat Punto has officially made its appearance during the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September, and as you probably remember the model didn’t had and dramatic improvement in terms of looks, but we can’t help notice the similarity between its exterior design and the looks of the 500 and the Bravo. As you can see from the images posted below this news, the 2012 Fiat Punto has body colored bumpers, new indicators, new alloy wheels and the automaker says that the model is coming with three new exterior colors, the Blues Grey, the Tip Tap Red and the Glam Rock Blue.
Under the hood, the 2012 Fiat Punto is bringing the most significant changes and the model is now powered by the award-winning two-cylinder turbocharged TwinAir engine, which is developing a total output of 85 horsepower. The other unit, the 1.3 MultiJet 2 diesel has been fitted with the Intelligent Alternation and the Intelligent Flow tech and it now manages to emit just 90 grams of CO2 every kilometer.
