The new generation of the Kia Rio is here and the South Korean automaker has just announced its United States prices for the five-door version of the hatchback, which comes in three trim levels, the LX, the EX and the SX.

According to Kia, the base level LX can be bought for 13.600 USD and some standard features are the air conditioning, the electric power steering, the AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system with USB and auxiliary ports, the SiriusXM satellite radio, while the standard safety features include ESC (Electronic Stability Control), four-wheel ABS, HAC (Hill-start Assist Control) and VSM (Vehicle Stability Management).

For 1.100 USD more you can get the automatic transmission while for the top-of-the-line SX you will have to pay $18.000 and for those money you will get LED headlamps and taillight accents, sport-tuned suspension with larger front brakes, projection headlamps, fog lamps, twin chrome exhaust tips, standard UVO powered by Microsoft voice-activated infotainment system with 4.3 inch touch screen and rear camera display and 17 inch alloy wheels.

The new generation of the five-door Kia Rio is powered by a four-cylinder, 1.6 liter GDI engine, which is delivering 138 HP, mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission, with 30 and 40 mpg (city / highway).
