The Australian based automaker Holden has recently revealed the 2012 Colorado model, which will become available on the local market later this year.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2012 Holden Colorado will be available, just like the Chevrolet Colorado, in three body styles, single cab, space cab and crew cab, where all the versions will come with safety features like the electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and airbags. Even if Holden didn’t release any images or details on 2012 Colorado’s interior, the pick-up will most likely come with Bluetooth / iPod / USB connectivity, air conditioning and power windows.
Under the hood, the 2012 Holden Colorado will be available with a choice of two four-cylinder diesel engines, where the first one will come as a 2.5 liter unit which is developing a total output of 148 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque (258 lb-ft), while the second one will be a 2.8 liter which will generate 177 horsepower and it will have a maximum torque of 470 Nm (347 lb-ft). Holden says that with the large unit under its hood, the 2012 Colorado has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 kg (7,717 lbs). More details on the model after it will officially be launched later this year.
