Jaguar’s 2012 line-up is here and the automaker has revealed it, but fans of models like the XE Roadster will have to wait and settle for the XKR-S, the XF, XK or XJ.
Let’s start with the XJ range and say that this model is coming with a rear-seat comfort option pack, including a massage feature, footrests, winged headrests and four-way adjustment for the lower back, while the 2012MY XK has a larger front grille, new headlights and taillights and new wheels, while for the inside customers can choose bucket seats, which are coming with new trimming. The 2012MY XF has received some exterior changes to the front and the rear, with new bonnet, headlights, taillights, bumpers and front wings, while the interior now has a sat-nav.
At the end of the Jaguar scale we find the XF, with its 2.2 liter four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 190 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, emitting 149g of CO2 per kilometer and promising a driving range of 1.280 km or 800 miles, with a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 8.7 seconds.
We have saved the best for last in many people’s minds, the XKR-S, the fastest Jag ever but not a real Jag. Not a real gentlemen’s car coming with too many horsepower, a suspension which makes you feel your both kidneys hitting your spine and its Aston-wanna-be exterior design. The XKR-S is delivering 550 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).
