Jeep just released the features and specs on their all-new 2012 Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty®: as a MW3 Special Edition.
In celebration of Black Ops’ success, Jeep dedicated a special edition of the Wrangler to the Call of Duty franchise. Once again, Jeep has decided to celebrate Modern Warfare 3 with an updated version that features MW3 branding throughout the vehicle.
Changes include a redesigned front bumper with fog lights mounted outside the bumper guards, another new hood with mesh inserts, more aggressive 32-inch off-road tires mounted on new black wheels and a rear bumper with a reservoir.
Available dealer-installed Mopar performance parts include a Warn winch, 2-inch lift kit and classic five-spoke wheels.
Interior appointments include model-specific black seats with accent stitching and Call of Duty logos, unique gauge cluster graphics, dashboard serialized plaque, dashboard grab handle with logo, accent stitching on arm rest, console lid, and steering wheel, Mopar Slush Mats with logo, and rear cargo mat with logo (unlimited only).
Headlining the changes for 2012 is the adoption of Chrysler’s DOHC 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. It kicks out 260 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 rpm and 285 horsepower at 6,400 rpm, some 23 lb-ft and fully 83 hp more than the old-school pushrod 3.8-liter V6 it replaces.
Weight savings were also realized with accessories that bolt directly to the block, while exhaust manifolds were deleted. Instead, exhaust flows through passages cast directly into the Pentastar’s cylinder head.
And, while the six-speed manual returns unchanged, the four-speed automatic has been ditched in favor of the Grand Cherokee’s five-speed.
Available in Jeep showrooms this November, the new limited-edition Jeep Wrangler will be available in both two-door and four-door (Jeep Wrangler Unlimited) models.
