After we just announced the introduction of the new power-train from Lamborghini, we have information’s about the next Murcielago; Lamborghini Aventador!
Lamborghini has registered the name “Aventador” with the U.S. trademark office. The name has a number of divergent translations – including, appropriately, Spanish slang for kicking @$$ accordgin to Autoblog.
So, forget Jota. Next year’s successor to the Lamborghini Murcielago will be called Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.
The upcoming Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador will incorporate a lot of features from the Reventon supercar. The vehicle will come with a carbon fiber monocoque frame that will allow a mass reduction by about 230 kg/aprox. 500 lbs (compared to the Murcielago), and will increase the torsional rigidity by 70 percent. Also, F1-style rear suspension will be available.
According to Ferrarichat.com, Lamborghini Aventador will have a top speed of 217 mph and 0-60 acceleration in less than 2.9 seconds.
