Mercedes will unveil next generation A-Class most probabily at the upcoming 2011 Shanghai Auto Show in April this year.
Until then, we have some sketches showing some design lines with the upcoming Mercedes A Class.
Although only a stylised preview, replete with the usual streamlined shape and giant wheels, the illustration offers the best look yet at what we can expect from the new A-Class.
If we take a closer look at this design, the next A-Class could lose the cab-forward design synonymous with the model since its inception in 1998.
Instead of a short, steeply slanted hood, the rendering shown here depicts a compact Benz hatch with a much longer nose, which features an expansive grille, along with headlamps inspired by the 2009 BlueZero concepts.
As about the engines, the new A Class will be put on sale with a choice between a petrol and diesel engines, however, an AMG version is not expected at this moment.
However, there are some rumors who are talking about a 2.0 liter -petrol supercharged engine that might be under the hood of the next A Class AMG edition…
