2012 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG teased ahead of L.A. Auto Show image

The new generation of the ML63 AMG is almost here and the German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has decided to place it on the same level with its competition by teasing it ahead of the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, which will officially open its gates next week, being the most important automotive event in the United States for the end of this year.

Mercedes-Benz has chosen the “classic” way for teasing its new SUV generation, which is a photo that captured part of the front grille, front bumper, right headlight, engine hood, windscreen and right mirror, and it didn’t take too long until the automotive media felt for it and started comparing it with previous generation of the ML63 AMG.

As you can see from the image, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG comes with a three bar grille and LED daytime running lights, but a new sports suspension, larger brakes, four-tailpipe exhaust system “covered” with a rear diffuser and large new designed AMG alloy wheels are also expected to make its way onto the new generation of the powerful SUV.

Rumors say that the 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG will be powered by a large 5.5 liter V8 twin-turbo engine, developing 518 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque (516), but an optional performance package might boost these numbers to 550 HP and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft).
