The German based automaker Porsche has recently announced the starting price for the 911 Carrera model in Malaysia, which has been set at RM800,000.
After the car manufacturer said not too long ago that the new generation of the Porsche 911 will cost RM430,000 in Malaysia for the Carrera and RM490,000 for the Carrera S, the price decision has been turned around and it seems that that was the duty-free price list, so after a quick review, the automaker has announced that the Carrera costs RM800,000 while the Carrera S starts at RM900,000, inclusing duties and taxes but without registration fee, road tax and insurance. The price list includes a four-year factory warranty, four-year complimentary service and maintenance package.
The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera is developing, from its 3.4 liter boxer engine, a total output of 350 horsepower, allowing the sports car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, while the more powerful version, the Carrera S, and its 3.8 liter boxer unit, can do the same spring in 4.1 seconds thanks to its 400 horsepower, but the acceleration time is cut to just 3.9 seconds with the PDK and Launch Control. The Carrera has a top speed of 179 mph and the Carrera S 188 mph. The new Porsche 911 is coming with some performance enhancements like the automatic start/stop, engine transmission and thermal management, electrical system recuperation and the electro-mechanical power steering, which are helping improve the fuel efficiency.
