2012 Porsche Cayman Clubsport may come at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show

We all know now that Porsche has finally shown 918 Spyder a green light for production, which sadly, we won’t see any time sooner.
But, we have another great news for porsche fans - Porsche will build a Cayman model variant.
Known as the Cayman CS or “Club Sport” , the car will hit the stores in 2011 and go on sales as a 2012 model.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumblings of a lighter, more powerful Cayman, but now that Porsche has successfully launched the Boxster Spyder, it’s only fitting that the same sort of package be offered on its harder-core hardtop sister.

What we know is that the 2012 Porsche Cayman Clubsport will have the 3.4-litre 6-cylinder engine with an output of just over 330 hp and will be between 70 and 80 kg lighter than the standard version. The 2012 Porsche Cayman Clubsport will also have bigger brakes, a 20 mm lower ride height, and will have the option of the PDK transmission and the Sports Chrono Package.

Regarding the performances we expect a sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds. Pricing will start from $66,330.
