2012 Scion tC and tC RS 7.0 starts at $20,905 image

Scion announced today that its first release series for the second generation tC sports coupe, the 2012 tC Release Series 7.0 (tC RS 7.0), will be available at dealer showrooms this summer.

Scion will only build 2,200 units of the tC RS 7.0. The limited edition model will carry a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $20,905 and $21,905 when equipped with a manual and automatic transmission respectively.

Moreover, the tC will also come standard with Scion Service Boost, which is a complimentary plan covering normal factory-scheduled maintenance and 24-hour roadside assistance for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The car features a new High Voltage yellow paint scheme with contrasting black side mirrors and black 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as a TRD body kit with front and rear lower valences and side skirts, plus a honeycomb lower grille.

Inside the tC RS 7.0 gets black and yellow seat fabric, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with yellow stitching, a keyless entry system and push-button start.
