The Japanese based automaker Suzuki has recently launched the 2012 Swift Sport in Australia where the small hatchback has a starting price of 25, 990 AUD.
After the new Suzuki Swift Sport was launched in the United Kingdom in December 2011, time has come for the Japanese hatchback to be launched in Australia too and according to the car manufacturer, the model has a starting price of 23,990 AUD for the manual transmission, while the CVT version costs 25,990 AUD. Just like the UK version, the Australian Suzuki Swift Sport is available with the same 1.6 liter VVT engine, which is developing a total output of 135 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 160 Nm.
With the 1.6 liter VVT engine under its hood, the Suzuki Swift Sport can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds with the manual transmission which is actually 0.3 seconds faster than the model it replaces. Fuel consumption stands at 6.5 liters every 100 km, according to the manufacturer. The Suzuki Swift Sport will also get some standard features like the Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, HID projector lamps, fog lamps, push button engine ignition and air conditioning.
The Suzuki Swift Sport will also get a wider track with an all-new body kit, deep front grille, bi-xenon headlamps, blacked-out A and B pillars, extra-wide dual exhaust tips, composite-look rear diffuser, front sports seats, sports steering wheel, sports pedals, sports gear shifter, keyless entry and start, six-speaker audio system, climate control and 17 inch alloy wheels.
