2012 Toyota Land Cruiser unveiled in Brussels image

The 2012 model year of the Toyota Land Cruiser has been officially unveiled, by the Japanese based automaker, at the 2012 Brussels Motor Show.

After being recently revealed, showing its exterior lines and cabin design, Toyota has decided to put its 2012 Land Cruiser into the spotlights once again, by not choosing the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the New Delhi Auto Expo in India or the Tokyo Auto Salon, but the 2012 Brussels Motor Show in Europe. According to the car manufacturer, the 2012 Toyota Land Cruiser is coming with a new exterior design and interior styling, along with improved technical parts and additional features.

The technical revisions also include uprating the 4.5 liter V8 turbodiesel engine, which is now developing a total output of 286 horsepower at 3.600 rpm and it has a peak torque of 650 Nm, available between 1.600 and 2.800 rpm. The unit is now complying with the Euro 5 emission standards. The 2012 Toyota Land Cruiser is coming with the Turn Assist, which is working with the Crawl Control function, along with the Multi-terrain Select (MTS), Multi-terrain Monitor and Tire Angle Display.

In the cabin we find a colored TFT multi information display, blue illumination, Alcantara leather for the front seats, cool air function in addition to built-in heaters, memory seating, active headrests, the Toyota Touch Pro advanced multimedia and navigation system with voice command control, Bluetooth and a rear view camera. There’s no official word on the price yet but the 2012 Toyota Land Cruiser is expected to hit the showrooms later this year.
