The Japanese based automaker Toyota has recently announced that the 2012 Vios has been launched in Malaysia, where the model has a starting price of RM73k.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2012 Toyota Vios isn’t called a facelift but an improvement which is actually true because the model is still getting the same old 1.5 VVT-I engine, mated to either automatic or manual transmissions and coming with the same performance figures as before. Its exterior changes are beginning with the headlights and taillamps which are now getting a sportier image, continued by the lower corners of the bumpers and the front fog lamps.
Inside the 2012 Toyota Vios we now find new material used on the seats and some fresh fabric pattenr, along with an SRS airbag for the front passenger, force-limiter and pre-tensioner seatbelt, and while the standard items list is stopping with the 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 185/60 tires, the options list is quite large and it includes a full-color 5.8-inch and 6.1 inch touch screen, reverse camera, DVD player, infotainment systems, GPS navigation system and many more. An optional suspension kit is ending the list with comprising coil springs and shock absorbers which can lower the ride height by 10 mm.
