The Swedish based automaker Volvo is planning to introduce its new V40 model at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012, and a teaser image released is sustaining the carmaker’s intention.
Even if Volvo can battle on the same level as Mercedes-Benz, BMW or Audi, the Swedish models are forgotten most of the time when buying a new car but this might change because the Volvo is becoming more affordable and a first step into this direction has already been made. The teaser image above is showing us the new 2012 Volvo V40, a model which will rival models like the popular BMW 1-Series or the Audi A3, and it’s promising to be an interesting choice compared to the competition.
The 2012 Volvo V30 is a five-door hatchback with a sloping roofline, distinctive taillights, a tailgate spoiler, aluminum window trim and a prominent front grille. Sadly this is all the details we’ve got on the upcoming Swedish model, but Volvo will most likely announce all the good things once the V40 will be officially presented at the Geneva Motor Show, when the automotive event will open its gates in 2012. The “V40” name has already been used on a model, where the S40 estate version was also known as a V40.
