The German based aftermarket specialists at B&B have recently presented to the public their latest creation, some upgrade kits for the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle.
According to the tuning company, the upgrade kit based on the 2.0 liter TFSI engine and made by B&B is coming in five stages of output.
– 236 horsepower
– 247 horsepower
– 261 horsepower
– 291 horsepower
– 316 horsepower
B&B says that for the most “extreme” stage, which is the 316 HP version, the company’s turbocharger has been fitted onto the engine, along with a charge air cooler and a new sport exhaust system with sport catalytic converter and downpipe. The Beetle can accelerate in this stage from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and it has a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Prices for the stage 5 upgrade have been set at 8.950 EUR. Before moving on, we must remind you that the original 2.0 liter TFSI engine was developing in standard specification 200 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque (207 lb-ft).
Power boosts are also available for the Beetle equipped by the 1.4 TSI engine, which is coming in standard with 158 horsepower. The stage 1 ECU upgrade takes the power up to 207 horsepower and 285 Nm of torque (136 lb-ft), for 998 euros, while in stage 2, the car is coming with 221 HP and 310 Nm of torque (228 lb-ft) for 1.498 euros. Last but not least, stage 3 is bringing a modified turbocharger, new air intake and a new sport exhaust, which can raise the total output up to 237 HP and 340 Nm of torque (251 lb-ft), for a total cost of 5.950. B&B says that for an extra 3.795 EUR, a high performance braking system can be fitted on to the model, along with 19 or 20 inch rims.
