The North American luxury division of Honda, Acura, has recently announced the starting price for the new RDX, which has been set at $34,320.
According to the car manufacturer, the new Acura RDX will wear the 2013 model year in its name and the SUV will have a starting price of $34,320, plus the $885 destination charge, which will take its base price up to $35,205. Acura says that the standard RDX model is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine, which is developing a total output of 273 horsepower. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which is sending the power to the front wheels, but an all-wheel drive system can be ordered for an extra $1,400. The base RDX is rated at 20 / 28 mpg in city / highway and it’s coming with leather seats, 360-watt audio system and a power moonroof.
Moving up in the range, with the Technology Package, the price of the Acura RDX goes up to $38,905, including delivery. The Technology Package is adding features like the navigation with voice recognition, AcuraLink Satellite Communication System, 60-gb hard drive, dual-zone automatic climate control, real-time traffic, rerouting and weather, surround sound system and projector headlights. The Technology Package and all-wheel drive make the 2013 Acura RDX available at $40,305. The new RDX will go on sale this spring and it’s being made at the East Liberty, Ohio plant.
