The aftermarket specialists at ABT Sportsline have recently presented an upgrade package for the new generation of the Audi A3, named the AS3.
Just like the German tuners at Senner Tuning have upgraded the facelifted version of the Audi S5 not too long ago, offering it a lowered suspension, new alloy wheels and a power boost, ABT Sportsline is doing exactly the same to the new generation of the Audi A3. According to the aftermarket specialist at ABT Sportsline, the Audi A3 is fitted with suspension springs, a coil-over suspension and the company’s brake kit with 345 mm brake discs, improving its handling.
Besides these, the 2013 Audi A3 has also been fitted with a new aggressive body kit, with a front spoiler, new grille, side skirts, rear spoiler, rear skirt insert and quad exhaust pipes, while the model is sitting on 18/19-inch alloy wheels. ABT Sportsline says that the AS3’s 2.0 liter diesel engine is now developing a total output of 200 horsepower, compared to the standard 170 HP, while the 2.0 liter TFSI petrol is generating 50 horsepower more to a total of 250 HP, gained through a simple ECU upgrade. There are no official words on the price tag yet.
