The EPA has recently rated the 2013 Audi A8, in the 4.0T version, at 17/28 mpg in city/highway for the short wheelbase variant.
The 2013 Audi A8 has been launched in the United States at the beginning of this summer and, since then, we haven’t heard anything about it. But the luxurious sedan is being placed into the spotlights these days, not by the German based automaker but by the EPA, which has recently rated the model at 17/28 mpg in city/highway, for the 4.0T short wheelbase version. The long wheelbase variant of the 2013 Audi A8 is returning 16/26 mpg in city/highway, in the same 4.0T configuration.
The German based automaker Audi has done a good job here and even if 17/28 mpg in city/highway don’t seem like a big deal, let’s not forget the 2013 A8 can easily go for 100,000 USD and, when compared to the eight-cylinder versions of the competition, like the BMW 7-Series, in both short and long-wheel base models, and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Audi is returning 17/28 mpg while the BMW 16/24 mpg and the Mercedes-Benz 15/24 mpg.
