Audi has recently announced the production start of the 2013 RS6 Avant in Germany, at the Neckarsulm facility.
After it was officially unveiled a couple of months ago, the 2013 Audi RS6 Avant is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the German based automaker announcing its production start in Neckarsulm. According to the car manufacturer, the 2013 Audi RS6 Avant is getting closer to its future customers with the model beginning its production in Germany. It is uncertain yet whether a sedan version of the Audi RS6 is being considered by the company.
As a quick reminder, the 2013 Audi RS6 Avant is powered by a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine, replacing the previous 5.2 liter naturally aspirated unit, which is developing a total output of 560 HP (412 kW) and 700 Nm of torque (516 lb-ft). Power is being sent to the Quattro all-wheel drive system through an eight-speed tiptronic transmission. The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) or 280 km/h (174 mph) with the Dynamic Package and 305 km/h (190 mph) with the Dynamic Plus Package. Fuel consumption stands at 9.8 liters / 100 km (24 mpg US).
