Audi has recently announced its plans to introduce the 2013 S3 Sportback to Australia next year.

The German based automaker Audi has recently announced that the new S3 Sportback will be launched in Australia in 2013 where the model is expected to be more expensive than the current S3, which is priced at 71,200 AUD. The 2013 Audi S3 Sportback will go against models like the new Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG or the BMW M135i.

The 2013 Audi S3 Sportback is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged TFSI engine, which is producing a total output of 221 kW and it has a peak torque of 380 Nm. This means that the hot hatch has 22 kW and 30 Nm of torque more than the previous generation of the model. The three-door Audi S3 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds, when mated to the six-speed dual clutch S tronic transmission, and in 5.4 seconds with the standard six-speed manual transmission. Additional details on the Australian 2013 Audi S3 are limited for the moment and will be announced close to the model’s launch next year.
