2013 Audi S6, S7 and S8 going to the U.S. image

The German based automaker is planning to introduce its new generations of the S6, S7 and S8 models to the United States auto market, using words like “ground-breaking efficiency” and “technologies” on the way.

After being already presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year in September, the 2013 model year of the Audi S8 is powered by the 4.0 liter TFSI engine which is generating a total output of 520 horsepower and has a constant torque of 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) which is available between 1.700 and 5.500 rpm, sending power to all the wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission which is helping the luxurious sedan accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, being 0.6 and 0.7 seconds faster than the S6 sedan and the S7 Sportback.

Moving a bit down the Audi lineup we find the new 2013 S7, which is being powered by the same 4.0 liter TFSI V8 engine, which is generating 420 horsepower and has a peak torque of 406 lb-ft, mated to a seven-speed S tronic transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters which is sending power to the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from o to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, with its top speed being electronically limited to 155 mph.

Last but not least comes the 2013 Audi A6 which has the same 4.0 liter twin-turbo TFSI V8 engine, generating the same amount of power as the one in the S7, 420 HP, with a peak torque of 406 lb-ft available from 1.400 to 5.300 rpm, mated to the same seven-speed S tronic transmission with steering wheel mounted paddles, with the same AWD technology, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 155 mph.
