The facelifted version of the BMW Alpina B7 has been officially presented to the public by the car company over the weekend, and it will make its U.S. debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
According to the German based automaker, the 2013 BMW Alpina B7 facelift has been based on the facelifted version of the BMW 7-Series and the model is coming with 30 new parts, including a modified front fascia fitted with LED fog lights, new upholstery choices for the interior, an upgraded cabin and ceramic secondary controls.
“BMW announced updates to the second generation of the successful BMW ALPINA B7 super-high performance luxury sedan with more performance, fresh design features, and improved efficiency. The new B7 is slated for a North American debut at the historic Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August and will go on-sale immediately thereafter”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
Power to the 2013 BMW Alpina B7 is being provided by an impressive 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 540 horsepower and 728 Nm of torque (538 lb-ft), 40 horsepower and 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) more. The unit is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission which is allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 194 mph (312 km/h). The facelifted BMW Alpina B7 will go on sale in the United States in August and its price will start at 128,495 USD.
