At the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, the 2013 Encore will make its world debut according to the U.S. automaker.
The GM brand’s being coy with the details, the new compact crossover seems to share some of the details with today’s Enclave, while predicting where that seven-seat crossover might go in its next redesign.
So, beside from these few details, the automaker has said the 2013 Encore will be a five-passenger crossover, feature “QuietTuning” technology, and will offer a similar feature and options package to current Buick vehicles.
Question is how different will be the new 2013 Buick Encore to the GM’s actual line of small crossovers like the Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia?
The resurgence of Buick over the past two years has been nothing short of incredible…
“Encore joins a rapidly expanding family of Buick vehicles that has recently seen the additions of the Verano compact luxury sedan, the Regal GS sport sedan, and fuel-efficient eAssist ‘light electrification’ technology on both LaCrosse and Regal,” Buick said in a statement.”
“Buick is expanding into segments that are growing,” said Michelle Krebs, Edmunds.com senior analyst. “A small Buick crossover fits well with the brand’s ongoing effort to attract younger buyers.”
Encore debuts at the 2012 Detroit auto show in January for more info, but Buick will reveal a full photo of the crossover before then so stay tuned.
