2013 Chevrolet Spark going to L.A. Auto Show image

The North American based automotive giant General Motors has decided to unveil its 2013 model year of the Chevrolet Spark, with the small hatchback being scheduled to go on sale in mid-2012, with some interesting new features on it, but before the vehicle will hit the showrooms, it will be officially presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

According to the car manufacturer, the 2013 model year Chevy Spark will be the only car which will offer a 7 inch color touchscreen radio which can also display smart phone-based navigation, personalized connectivity of Pandora and Stitcher Internet radio and contacts for hands free calling.

“Spark is for buyers who want much more than a cute small car – they want a car that can be personalized, is dynamic, fashionable, and delivers a lot of value for. Spark’s vibrant exterior and interior colors make a fashion statement, but it is also affordable, safe, maneuverable and very fuel-efficient”, said the vice president of global Chevrolet marketing and strategy, Chris Perry.

Chevrolet says that its 2013 model year Spark will be offered in two levels, the 1LT and 2LT, both of them being powered by a 1.2 liter dual-overhead cam four-cylinder petrol engine with variable valve timing, generating a total output of 85 horsepower, mated to a standard five-speed manual transmission with an optional four-speed automatic.

The 2013 Chevrolet Spark will be officially presented to the general public at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show and the small hatchback will hit the United States showrooms in mid-2012.
