The North American based automaker Chevrolet has recently announced that the 2013 Spin MPV will be built in Indonesia, in order to go against its local competitors.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2013 Chevrolet Spin is actually a new compact seven-seat MPV and the model will be assembled in Bekasi, West Java, from early 2013, after the facility has received an investment of 150 million USD, creating 800 new jobs. Chevrolet says that the 2013 Spin MPV will be offered in both five and seven-seat versions and the carmaker is trying to combine good cargo space with car-like handling, fuel economy and muscular SUV looks.
The all-new Chevrolet Spin will be assembled in Indonesia in an effort for General Motors to go against models like the Toyota Avanza or the Nissan Grand Livina and, besides launching a new model, the automaker will also create 800 new jobs locally and it will probably help the infrastructure too. Besides Indonesia, the all-new Chevrolet Spin is also expected to be introduced in markets like India and more throughout the ASEAN auto market. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the Chevrolet Spin for the moment but we will keep you updated on the subject.
