Chrysler has recently announced the official starting price for the 2013 Dodge Dart Aero in the United States, which can be bought from 20,090 for the MT version.

According to the North American based automaker, the Dodge Dart is now getting a more fuel efficient version, named the Dart Aero, which is coming with some aerodynamical enhancement, like the active grille shutters, the lightweight aluminum chassis, the low profile and low resistance tires and the underbody aero kit. Dodge says that with these changes, the Dart Aero can achieve 41 mpg on the highway when coming with the six-speed manual transmission and 40 mpg on the highway with the six-speed dual-dry clutch transmission.

“The all-new Dodge Dart is a groundbreaking vehicle, offering features and benefits never before offered in a compact car”, said the Dodge brand president and CEO, Reid Bigland.

The 2013 Dodge Dart Aero can now be bought from 20,090 USD, including the 795 USD destination charge, over-seas for the six-speed manual version, while for the dual-clutch automatic, its future owners will have to pay 21,190 USD, shipping included. The Dodge Dart Aero is getting the 160 HP and 184 lb-ft 1.4 liter turbocharged engine under its hood, shared with the Abarth 500.
