The North American based automaker Ford has recently revealed the 2013 Explorer Sport SUV, ahead of its launch this autumn.
As you can see from the images posted below, the 2013 Ford Explorer Sport is coming with a revised front fascia, tinted lighting units, gloss black trim and new 20-inch alloy wheels. The cabin has been equipped with a dual-zone climate control, MyFord infotainment system, Sony audio system, illuminated scuff plates, “technical look trim” and black leather seats.
“Explorer Sport makes no compromises. By carefully beefing the cassis and suspension, precisely calibrating the Terrain Management System and adding comfort and convenience features, we’ve delivered an SUV that delivers great dynamics and performance – while towing up to 5,000 pounds”, said the vehicle engineering manager, Carl Widmann.
The 2013 Ford Explorer Sport is powered by the company’s 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 engine, which is developing a total output of 350 horsepower. The unit is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which is sending power to the all-wheel drive system, allowing the SUV to return 16 mpg city and 22 mpg highway (US) in an average cycle. More details on the 2013 Ford Explorer Sport will be announced closer to the vehicle’s launch.
