The North American based automaker Ford has recently announced that the new generation of the Ford Fiesta will be launched soon in the United States too.
After being officially revealed as a concept car not too long ago and than making its world debut during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March, the new generation of the Ford Fiesta ST, which is wearing the 2013 model year in its name, is being placed into the spotlight once more, this time by the car manufacturer, which has announced that the model will arrive in the United States soon.
The 2013 Ford Fiesta ST is coming with an aggressive body kit made out of a tailgate spoiler, a rear diffuser, a trapezoidal grille and some other features, while the cabin has been fitted with Recaro sport seats, alloy pedals, sport steering wheel, carbon fiber trim, SYNC infotainment system and a “sound symposer”, which can filter the most attractive engine noises from under the hood.
The new generation of the Ford Fiesta ST is powered by a 1.6 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, which is producing a total output of 178 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 240 Nm (177 lb-ft). The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than seven seconds, before reaching a top speed of 220 km/h (137 mph).
