The North American based automaker Ford has recently announced the official starting price for the 2013 Focus ST locally, which has been set at 23,700 USD.
According to the car manufacturer, the new generation of the Ford Focus ST is already available for order in the United States, where the cheapest version can be bought from 23,700 USD or 24,495 USD with the $795 destination charge. The all-new Ford Focus ST is cheaper than its rivals, the Volkswagen Golf GTI (23,995 USD) and the MazdaSpeed3 (24,000 USD). For the 2013 Ford Focus STI, optional features like the navigation system ($795), the moonroof ($895) or the Tangerine Scream tri-coat paint ($495) will also be available to order.
The 2013 Ford Focus STI is taking its power from the company’s 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo engine, which is developing a total output of 250 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 265 lb-ft. The hot hatch’s unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is allowing the Focus ST to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 6.5 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
