Ford Motor Company has launched the new generation of the Focus ST in the United Kingdom, where the model has been priced at 21, 995 pounds.
After being launched in the United States earlier this year, the new generation of the Ford Focus ST, which is wearing the 2013 model year in its name, has arrived in the United Kingdom too, where its price has been set at under 22,000 GBP for the five-door hatchback, while the estate costs 23,095 pounds. The previous generation of the Focus ST, which was available as a three and five-door hatchback, started at 19,250 GBP in the UK, but even so, it will easily undercut its rivals like the VW Golf GTI, with its 210 HP and 25,915 GBP or the Vauxhall Astra VXR which starts at 26,995.
The 2013 Ford Focus ST is powered by the company’s 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo engine, which is developing a total output of 250 horsepower, with a peak torque of 265 lb-ft. The hot hatch’s unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is allowing the Ford Focus ST to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 6.5 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
