Holden has recently announced the official starting price of the 2013 Malibu in Australia, where the model is now available to its future customers from 28,490 AUD.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2013 Holden Malibu can be ordered in two trim levels, the CD or the CDX, and standard features include the rearview camera, Bluetooth, cruise control, automatic headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels, amongst others. The CDX version will add the chrome exterior accents, the LED taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, leather wrapped front seats and dual zone climate control.
“What we aimed for with Malibu was to deliver a car with great all-round performance and we’ve been successful in creating a really adept cruiser that is as at home in an urban environment as it is on rolling b-roads or an interstate highway”, said Michael Barber, the Holden Vehicle Dynamics Specialists Engineer.
The 2013 Holden Malibu is powered by either the 2.4 liter gasoline engine, which is good for 167 HP (123 kW) and 225 Nm of torque (166 lb-ft), or by the 2.0 liter diesel, producing 160 HP (118 kW) and 350 Nm of torque (258 lb-ft). The two units can be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission only. Prices for the 2013 Holden Malibu CD start 28,490 AUD for the petrol, while the diesel will set you back for 32,490 AUD. The CDS gasoline costs 31,990 AUD and the CDX diesel 35,990 AUD.
