Honda has recently launched the 2013 CR-Z in the United States, where the model can be bought from 19, 975 USD, without the $790 destination charge.
According to the Japanese based automaker, the 2013 Honda CR-Z is being offered with a Plus Sport System which can be activated when the battery is charged at least 50 percent and the model can run at a speed of over 31 km/h (19 mph). An “S+” button has been fitted onto the steering wheel which is allowing the model to get an electric boost, increasing the acceleration for up to 5 seconds.
The 2013 Honda CR-Z has been equipped with a whole new lithium-ion battery pack and the output produced by the electric motor has increased from 10 kW (13.4 HP) to 15 kW (20.1 HP). The total output produced now by the 1.5 liter gasoline engine and by the electric motor now stands at 130 HP (87 kW), at 6,000 rpm, and 189 Nm of torque (140 lb-ft). The 2013 Honda CR-Z can return 31/38/34 mpg in city/highway/combined, for the manual version, while the CVT can deliver 36/39/37 mpg in city/highway/combined.
