The high performance version of the “new” Honda CR-Z, the Mugen RZ, has been officially unveiled and it will go on sale in Japan soon.
The 2013 Honda CR-Z Mugen RZ will only be available in Japan for the moment and if you live there and want it badly, you should hurry up to your local Honda dealer because the company will only produce 300 units and each of them will be priced from 4,494,000 yen, which includes the 5 percent consumption tax.
The high performance version of the 2013 Honda CR-Z, the Mugen RZ, is coming with a new aerodynamic body kit, which includes a front spoiler, modified side skirts, a revised front grille, a rear diffuser and an adjustable rear wing. Other modifications include the adjustable suspension, the sports exhaust system, the high performance brakes and the 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Dunlop Direzza Z II tires.
Power to the 2013 Honda CR-Z Mugen RZ is being provided by a supercharged 1.5 liter engine, which is producing a total output of 156 horsepower (115 kW) and it has a peak torque of 185 Nm (136 lb-ft). This is backed up by an IMA hybrid system which is providing an extra 20 HP (15 kW) and 78 Nm of torque (58 lb-ft). The cabin of the model is getting two-tone seats, a boost meter, carbon fiber gear knob and an individually numbered plaque.
