The new generation of the Santa Fe has been officially announced to debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show which will start in April.
According to the South Korean based automaker Hyundai, the refreshed version of the Santa Fe crossover will be officially presented to the public in April this year, at the 2012 New York Auto Show. The refreshed version of the Hyundai Santa Fe is no longer a surprise and the model has been spied several times but even so, this new version is expected to go against its European rivals so its launch on the Old Continent is imminent.
The refreshed Hyundai Santa Fe will come with the company’s latest fluidic sculpture design, with a redesigned front end a strong side character line and that’s about it. The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe will come with the automaker’s Blue Link telematics service and touch screen navigation, but that’s about all we have on the cabin for now. Under the hood, the refreshed Santa Fe will come with a naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, as an entry-level, while the optional 2.0 liter turbo unit, replacing the V6, will also be available. Both units are expected to be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which will send the power to either the front wheels or to all the wheels.
