The South Korean based automaker Hyundai has recently unveiled the 2013 Santa Fe with a third row of seats during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, with its three rows of seats, is the second version of the model to make its way into the United States, along with the Santa Fe Sport, which can seat five people. The larger variant is getting a 110.2 inches wheelbase, which is actually 3.9 inches longer than in the Sport, and it can provide a 146.6 cu. ft. passenger volume and with a 160 cu. ft. total interior volume. The model’s length has also increased by 8.5 inches to 193.1 inches and it’s also 0.2 inches wider, at 74.2 inches and 0.4 inches taller at 66.5 inches.
The three-row version of the model is providing an additional 1.9 inches of legroom in the second row of seats and the vehicle is coming with rear passenger vents and HVAC controls. Under the hood, the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe is getting the 3.3 liter V6 GDI engine, which is producing 290 HP (216 kW) at 6,400 rpm and 252 lb-ft of torque (341 Nm) at 5,200 rpm. The unit is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which can send its power to the FWD or to the AWD system, depending on the model chosen.
