Two special editions of the 2013 Jeep Gran Cherokee SRT8, named the Alpine and the Vapor, will be launched in Australia soon.
According to the North American based automaker, the Australian division of Jeep will bring the Alpine and the Vapor special editions of the Grand Cherokee SRT8. Jeep says that both models are coming with a gloss black styling enhancement package which spreads across the bonnet, the grille inserts, the door badges, the rear step pad and rear light bar. The SRT badge on the tailgate is bespoke and the models are sitting on 20-inch black chrome Spider Monkey alloy wheels.
The cabin of the two models hasn’t been left unchanged either and its getting a 19-speaker 825-watt Harmon Kardon audio system, along with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. The only difference between the Vapor and the Alpine is that the first one is finished in Brilliant Black duco, while the last one is getting a Bright White paint. Power to the two models is provided by a 6.4 liter HEMI V8, generating 344 kW and 624 Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. 200 units of the two models will be brought to Australia and their starting price will be set at 81,900 AUD. Sales will start in January.
