The South Korean based automaker Kia has recently announced that the new generation of the Cee’d hatchback has been launched in Italy, where the model has a starting price of 16, 400 for the entry-level version.

According to the car company, the new generation of the Kia Cee’d, which is wearing the 2013 model year in its name, is available in four trim levels in Italy, the Active, the Cool, the Class and the Platinum, and each one of those trim levels can be combined with one of the of the five engines, the 1.4 liter CVVT petrol unit, with 100 HP, the 1.6 GDI petrol with 135 HP, the 1.4 CRDi diesel, developing 90 HP and the 1.6 liter CDRi with its two outputs, 110 HP and 128 HP.


Kia says that standard features found on the 2013 Cee’d Active include the 1.4 CVVT 100 HP engine, the six-speaker audio system, central locking, electric front windows, electrically adjustable side mirrors, multifunction steering wheel, cruise control, daytime running lights, traction control, hill assist, ESC and six airbags. The new generation of the Kia Cee’d is 10 mm lower and 50 mm longer than its predecessor and the cargo room has also increased by 40 liters.
